One Tough Mama

Mother Nature, from my ol' comic. I had a terrible time coloring this. I used Open Canvas 1..and I saved and closed..but it saved as a JPEG instead of a nice layered file. And it was unfinished. So, all I had was a REALLY crappy jpeg left of all my hard work!

But anyway, I finished it, blurred it and put a texture over it to cover up the pixely mess it became. Sadly, all the time I spent on shading isn't very apparent now, but I'm just glad it's done.

Still, I like some of the sketches on here. This is a plumper Mother Nature..with bigger lips and a better drawn headwrap. And a peacock head dress!

She's a fun lady to draw. Although I am having a hard time coming up with new outfits for her (I've made up about 20..but I don't like a lot of them!). Mama likes to wear clothes that flatter her big curves and also have some natural elements to them. Looking regal is also a plus.
